DIY SOS The Big Build Ireland: Leixlip
The Smart Storage team were honoured to take part in the Leixlip episode of DIY SOS, The Big Build Ireland which aired on Sunday, November 1st at 6.30pm on RTE. Read on to learn more about this fantastic home transformation completed for the Guihen family.
RTE states that “The Big Build is famous for bringing out the very best in people – in each & every episode an army of volunteer builders, labourers, trades, suppliers, friends & neighbours come together giving their time, labour and materials to help a local family whose lives have been impacted by a significant loss or misfortune.”
Taking place over just 11 days, the DIY SOS team were tasked with transforming the Guihen’s family home. The Guihens are a wonderful and truly deserving family and it is uplifting to see a community join together to help them to transform their home to better match their family’s requirements.
The incredible team of hardworking volunteers, led by Baz Ashwamy and a team of architects, builders and designers set to work under significant time pressures. The results are just incredible.
2020 has brought uncertainty and fear for so many. During these difficult times, if has been uplifting and enlightening to see a community of volunteers and business working together to help the Guihens transform their home.
The Smart Storage team is so proud to have taken part in the series finale of DIY SOS The Big Build Ireland. It has been an honour to contribute our smart storage solutions to this project. Our talented carpenter Sergio maximised storage space in three rooms of the home, installing an Under Stairs Storage Unit and two Storage Benches – one in the playroom, and one in Riley’s bedroom. We absolutely adore the results.
This is a project that we at Smart Storage will never forget. A huge well done to the DIY SOS team and the phenomenal team of volunteers.
